UP Board result 2016 class 10 and UP Board result 2016 class 12: For the Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education (UP Board) Class 10th and 12th examination, 2016, the results have been declared and the same are available at upmsp.nic.in, upresults.nic.in and indiaresults.com.

Addressing a press conference on the occasion, Amar Nath Verma, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, disclosed that about 32.6 lakh students had appeared for the High School (Class 10) exams while 29.2 lakh candidates wrote their papers for Intermediate (Class 12). The examinations were held in February-March this year and the answer scripts were examined at 256 evaluation centers set up in different districts of the neighboring state of Madhya Pradesh.

Girls outperformed boys once again in Uttar Pradesh in high school and intermediate examinations as the results for class 10 and 12 were declared today. The pass percentage for the High School result was 87.66 per cent while that for Intermediate result was 87.99. This year, the total number of candidates for High School examinations went up by 2.53 lakh compared with the previous year while Intermediate saw an increase of 1.52 lakh.

Female students put up a splendid performance in both exams, with a pass percentage of 91.11 for High School and 92. 48 for Intermediate. The pass percentage for boys was 84.82 for High School and 84.35 for Intermediate. The girls also bagged top five ranks in both the examinations.

Saumya Patel of Rae Bareli topped the High School exams with an impressive score of 98.67 per cent while Sakshi Verma of Barabanki, who scored 98.20 per cent, was the topper for Intermediate.

The girls’ pass percentage for High School is 2.77 per cent higher than last year while in Intermediate the improvement was a modest 0.32 per cent. The pass percentage of boys for High School this year rose by an impressive 5.09 per cent though their performance in Intermediate suffered a drop of 1.56 per cent.

Here is how to check your UP Board result 2016 class 10 and UP Board result 2016 class 12: – STEP 1. Go to official websites upresults.nic.in, upmsp.nic.in or indiaresults.com; STEP 2. Click on U. P. Board Intermediate (Class XII) Examination – 2016 Results OR U. P. Board High School (Class X) Results 2015; STEP 3. Enter your seven digit Roll number; STEP 4. Click ‘Submit’ and you will be able to check your marks; STEP 5. Download the result on your computer. Also, if possible, take a printout, but remember, this will serve only personal purposes and for all official matters, students will have to show the original certificate.

NOTE: At present the U.P. Board (upmsp.nic.in) is the biggest examining body in the World. The Board was set up in the year 1921 at Allahabad by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council. It conducted its first examination in 1923. This Board is one in India which, from the very start, had adopted 10+2 system of examination. The first public examination after 10 years education is High School Examination and after the 10+2 stage, there is Intermediate Examination. Prior to 1923, University of Allahabad was the examining body of these two examinations.
